Shtories and Shtuff

These 'Shtories' are taken from events, books, places and people that have become integral 'shtuff' in my life. I have been associated with them, or participated in most of the 'shtories'. Some are written here with an extremely liberal amount of fiction in them. Some are factual essays, short stories or analyses. Some are absolute nonsense while some shtories mark 'shmile shtones' in our lives. Enjoy!

Panduranga Vittala!!! - collection of surreal short stories.

the old lady pilgrim who was tired...

the lone warkari on his route...

of a daughter who went away...

the stubborn old man who listened to his own heart...

the keertankar who sang alone in the rain, all night...

the man who did not remember his name...

the reluctant pilgrim who enjoyed the pilgrimage...

the boy whose absence did not matter to anyone...

Shtuff about the shtories

There are extremely diverse genre of shtories in these pages, and reflect or recount entirely different shtyles. Some are deliberately parodic - speaking about the remarkable and nspirational, or the absolutely demonic and satanic people I have met. I have tried to bring them all together.

Some 'shtories' do not develop into anything that resembles a proper shtory. I admit that. But they have stayed within, and haunted me, and having admitted it, I want to shimply let them go from within my mind. These ‘Shtories’ are without any prejudice or malice or allusion or indication to anyone, dead or living, any institution, any concept or religion or community. The format usually is – one blog post = one ‘shtory’.

The ‘Shtories’ will be updated regularly. No. That may not be true. The ‘Shtories’ will be updated irregularly. Whenever I can, I will – actually. They are not complete ‘shtories’ at any time. The ‘Shtories’ are written in various dialects from within my mind, to reflect the aspects of the location of the events. Shom ‘Shtories’ shar written in Mumbaiya English, shom aar written in Tamil English. Shom ‘Shtories’ should be read only if you have nothing else to do in life, and you are far from being bored in life. That is, if you are beyond, beyond boredom in life, and you are actually, actually, totally at a loss for anything sensible, logical or reasonable. Shom text, sentences and shtory line may actually be sensible, but mostly, it will not make any sense.

So, please do not write back to me with comments, feedback, criticisms, editing or contextual errors, spelling mistakes, or if you suddenly find yourself being mentioned in the story. No. Let me correct that part… If you find yourself in the story, and you feel offended, irritated, bugged, angry or disgusted, do let me know. It will definitely make my day. You can send me photographs and references to add to the shtory where you are part of it. If you totally totally totally feel so much angry with all the buggerisms in the shtory about you, my shimpul advice would be, shtart a shtory blog aaf youar own. Itsh good to get its out of yoursh shystem.

Places to go to -

From Chembur to Wadala, Kings Circle, Matunga and Dadar in Mumbai, to Bundelkhand, Gwalior, Deccan, Eastern Ghats, Arunachal Pradesh and various other locations in India, to the US, Kenya, UK, Sri Lanka and Japan... I want to pen down the stories and stuff from these places. The flavour... Enjoy reading...

Then, there are other places. Godavari, Krishna, Cauvery, Pennar, Bhima and Indravati rivers of south India. Places that I would like to explore. The Eastern Ghats and the Western Ghats.
